Skibs are round and flat and are used for bringing in turf and sometimes are used for turning out potatoes on when you are straining them.
Crandies are small and narrow and have handles on them they are also used for bringing in turf.
Cleeves are broad at the top and are narrow at the bottom and are much bigger than crandies, they are used for carrying potatoes to the pit at the potato digging and for bringing hay to the cattle.
