  1. Once upon a time there was an Irishman and an Englishman.
    They agreed to meet each other on a certain day. Paddy was a bit late so in his hurry he pout on his trousers back to front.
    They had to cross a bridge which was in a bad way.
    As they went over it a plank gave way and Paddy fell through into the water beneath.
    When he had struggled to the bank the Englishman asked him if he was hurt.
    "No", said Paddy, "only I'm badly twisted"
