  1. Long ago people did not start to wear boots until they were eighteen or nineteen.
    Some children nowaways go barefoot in the Summer but very few go barefoot in the Winter.
    It is said if the water in which the feet are washed is thrown out at night it will be thrown back. It is also said if two people wash their feet in the same water without spitting in it they will have a row.
    Boots are repaired locally and in olden times the leather
