    One day he set to work, but when he came to the flag a great fear seized him and he abandoned the idea. Mrs Troy often saw this flag but it us now covered in.

  2. Mrd. Wyer Killbeggan remembers hearing of an old woman in Carne, who dreamt three nights in succession of finding a crock of gold under a certain rock. With the assistance of the neighbours she removed the rock and in a cavity underneath she got the crock but there was nothing in it only a sort of ashes. This turned up stone can be seen yet.
