  1. (continued from previous page)
go and he said "I'll go the field" & they told him not to go the field because he might lose his way & then he said 'The way I know is the way I'll go." Then he went off & when he got to the road he crossed into the field. When he was in the middle of the road about a hundred little men got round him kicking football & the(y) little men put the ball in front of Mickey & he gave it a big kick & the fairies said "Good man Mickey". Then one of the fairies would say "Who will kick(ed) the ball?" another would answer "Who but Mickey Darby?" Then another would say "What way will he go? and another would answer "The way he knows is the way he goes". These little men kept him kicking all night & when morning came they disappeared & Mickey went home sweating & shivering.
