  1. (continued from previous page)
    The maid of Pakenham Hall
    1
    It was sweet July
    As I passed by
and on the road I stood
When who did pass but a comely lass
    Approaching from the wood.
    2
    My sight got weak
    I could not speak
Nor could I move at all
As she passed by with head held light
    The maid of Pakenham Hall.
    3
    She was modest too
    And fair to view
    But now she's twenty one
    With limbs complete
    And face so sweat
    Tis after her I'll run.
    4
    Without blot or stain
    May she remain
    Until her Wedding call
Then I'll end my life & her my wife
    The maid of Pakenham Hall
