- Just opposite the school is the small residence of Miss McCormack. This is parochial property and during the famine times was turned into a fever hospital. When patients died in it they were immediately removed for burial to Kilafree cemetery where a corner (North East and adjoining the Vocational School plot) was reserved for them. Their clothing was also buried with them.
