    As I went awalking one fine summer's morning
    Two neighboring farmers I met on the way
    Who often indulged in a long spell of talking
    But hardly a word could I get them to say

    One strapped to his back had a queer looking measure
    In shape like a budget, yet not quite so mean
    I asked him what was it; said he "It's a treasure"
    Its our shareholders' wonderful spraying machine

    I spoke of Sir Walker & Ginnell, the member
    Who was fighting for Ireland with might and with main
    But all they could say was "They'll be green till November
    Twas plain these poor fellows had spray on the brain
