  1. We had a noggin at home which was about a hundred years old. We had it up until last year. It was impossible to keep it as it fell asunder an it could not be mended. My mother brought it from home with her in her. In her great grand father's time that is what they eat their porridge out of. It is a round thing like a tub made from real fine oak with very thin hoops up the side of it and a little handle out of the side. A bright brown shinny colour.
