   Long ago there was a hedge school in Ballinlough. The man who taught in this school was Thomas Brady a native of Stonefield Kells. There was also another school in Dromore. People forget the name of the man who taught in Dromore, but I suppose it was a stranger. There was a hedge school in Ballymacad. The man who taught in this school was a native of this place.
