  1. Most roads in my district are modern ones but I know a few old disused ones.
    From Harlinstown cross there is an old road leading to the historic Hill of Slane. On the left hand side lies pasture lands on the right hand side the Plan wood. It is called the Furry Hill byroad. It is never repaired now but it was in the famine years and people worked on it for a penny an hour.
