    story:-
    One day while two men were digging up trees in an orchard, they came across the remains of a man's head and a spear in it.
    From Cregg to Kilbride, and through Carnacop the direct road ran to Drogheda. Traces of this old road are yet to be seen on the far side of the river Dee. From Cregg to Kilbride no sign of the road is now to be seen because it is covered over with continual cultivation of the lands all around it, and above all, because of no traffic running on it This was the main road to Drogheda for a long time.
    One night a man was herding a flock of sheep near the fort. He saw what seemed to be a funeral passing.
