- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)4. There is said to be a gold coffin buried in Bective Abbey.
N.B.1. Michael Brennan father of the Brennan children, has in his possession a curious stone indented towards the edge - or engraved toward the edges with what might be (he says) Ogham characters. He dug it out of a ditch about a quarter of a mile from Bective Abbey. He will let it be seen and photographed but will not part with it. 2. Mr. Connolly, Trim road, Bective found a teapot-ful of g guineas years ago. He has still the teapot, but does not say what he did with the guineas. 3. The walls g an old mud cabin not 50 yards from the school, on the Bective road, sometimes still yield odd coins to those who search there for them. Con. Dowdall found a rusty coin in those walls.
