    Marking of stock
    30-5-38
When cattle are sold and the bargain is made the cattle are usually marked with raddle or a mark on their horns or hoof. Sometimes a mark or a cross is made with mud on the back of the beast bought. This is done so a buyer will know their own cattle.
They would not be marked if the buyer was bringing them home at once.
