    A man called Supple was the local landlord here long ago. He owned a park here and a castle the ruins of the castle are to be seen here still. His family had been settled here for over one hundred years. They were fairly good landlords. He got possession of the land by buying it from the tenants. The land was divided into farms under the guidance of the landlord. Some of his family got farms through marriage from their ancestors. At that time the tenants had no security of tenure from the landlord. Owing to the cruelty of the landlord they were punished for trival acts. Tithes were collected from the tenants by agents for the landlord in money and in kind
