  2. 1. Celery seed boiled and strained will cure rheumatism
    2. Spanish onions sliced sprinkled with Demerara sugar left overnight form a syrup which cures coughs.
    3. Scraped carrots sliced and boiled and made into a poultice are used as a cure for asthma
    4. Dandelion tea is used as a tonic for the blood
    5. Carrageen moss when washed and boiled is good for the lungs
