  1. Her father P. Keating Kilcarne was going one night to a townland called the "Yellow Walls" to visit a relative. On his way home he picked up a piece of a stick on the "Raheen" thinking it would be useful for firewood. He threw it down outside the door on arrival home and it made such a noise that it shook the house.
    Next morning he found it was a huge tree ten men could not lift what he had so easily carried the night before.
