    because the big thistles were growing on it.
    Some weeds that have medicinal properties are dandelions and slanlas. Dandelions, when broken give forth milk which if applied properly and constantly to a wart will cure it.
    An old cure for a whittle was to get the leaves of the slanlas or blackhead and chew them on to a docan leaf which was then roasted and put on the finger. This repeated fairly often cured the whittle.
