  1. In Tullaroan long ago there were a lot of matches towards now but there were nearly all hurling matches. The people long ago had a different way of hurling to the people now because there were no such things as fouls.
    It was over a fence they had to drive the ball and there were no such things as points. They had no jerseys or tights at that time. The ball they hurled was a different one to the one is hurled now because it was a lot bigger and heavier. There was a match hurled in Oldtown in a field called Boden's bog and it was the first match ever hurled in Tullaroan.
