  1. It was supposed that there was a hidden treasure in the bottom of a river which flows into Lough Gill.
    A man the name of O'Rourke dived to the foot of the river to get the treasure.
    When he got to the bottom a great monster in the shape of a conger eel and long mane down its back which guarded it appeared to him. When the monster saw O'Rourke he got very angry and told him to get away before he would kill him, but that he himself would show him something before he would leave which he would never forget till the latter end of
