  1. One day there was an old woman who was going to Castleblayney to buy bread and bacon. When she was coming home she met a fairy and he said he would help her to carry the parcels. He took the parcel that the bacon was in. When she wouldn't be looking he would take a bite of the bacon. He did not know what it was. He filled the parcel with stones and give it to her.
    She had men working for her that day and she wanted the bacon for them. It was dinner time when she got home and the men came into the
