    That day the gentleman's wife called the herdsman to his dinner and she betted with him she would frighten him. He betted she wouldn't. She then brought him around the house showing him everything. After a while she came to a big barrel with a cover on it. She lifted up the cover and out jumped a turkey cock. The herdsman fell back and nearly died with the fright.
