  1. There was a gentleman in Kilmihil whose house was haunted. He was looking for a herdsman. Every man he got would stop no longer than one night. One day he was going along the road and he met a man who asked him could he hire him. The gentleman told him he could be a herdsman for him but he betted he'd stop no longer than one night, and the other man betted he'd stop longer.
    The first night late he came inside in the kitchen by himself and three men came down the stairs with a coffin.
    They left the coffin on the table came over towards the herdsman. He gave them a pull of the pipe each. Then he said, "What about a pull for the man in the coffin". He went over to the table and was going to give a pull to the man in the coffin when he
