    Every sunday for a long time afterwards the people returning from mass knelt at Canada Cross and recited the rosary for the repose of the souls of Miltown Malbay's three Martyrs.

    On the night of 20th Sept. 1920 a party of I.R.A. chosen from the Moy, Lahinch, Ennistymon, Miltown Malbay and Glendine companies assembled at Moy school armed with rifles, bombs, shot guns.
