    and grand-father and they went to a neighbour's house.
    One of the children who turned back was nearly lost in the flood. All in the house was destroyed, the pigs were smothered, their cattle were swept away and their land was covered with bog. The neighbour's got home with some difficulty. The man was laid up for some weeks owing to injuries to his hands. Their cattle were rescued next day/ The house is uninhabited ever since.
