  1. There are several diseases with which people are afflicted and there are many cures for those diseases.
    There is one disease which children often suffer from. It is called the "Chin-Cough". It is said a man with a grey horse can give a cure for it.
    Another disease is the "Yellow Jaundice" a cure used be made for it by a woman in Barefield, but she died some years ago, she made it from a mulbery tree.
    Warts are another disease. In the Parish of Barefield there is a well that cures warts.
