  1. About twelve miles on the Eastern side of Ennis, near the little village called Quin, there was once a castle. Daingean was the name of the castle, and in it lived a prince and a princess. This prince was a wizard, but the princess did not know that. The princess wanted to marry the prince, but he would not consent until he had tested her nerves. He told her if she screamed when he was testing her nerves, he would not marry her.
