    Cnoc na mBrón
    or hill of sorrows is so called because when young boys and girls emigrated to America years ago it was from this hill they took their last sad look on their native townland Lisroe and their relatives went with them and waved to them until they went out of sight in Kilmaley.

    Srutan na Coille
    In this district is a stream running from a mountain near us and it is a tributary of the Fergus and is called Sruthan na Coille. The old people remember that many years ago one could walk for three miles through a wood by the bank of this river. But now not a single bush or shrub is to be seen there.
