  1. Long ago the people had special names on their fields for special reasons. The names we have on our fields are, the "cnuich citinn", because there are, furze growing in the field. The "Leacain" because there are flags in it. The "móinfhéín garbh" because the hay that grows there when saved is course. The "Páirc-geata" because there is an iron gate leading in to it The "móinfhéir ruad" because there is a drain running through it and the colour of the water
