  1. A fair is a place where horses, cattle, sheep and pigs are bought and sold. There is nearly always a special place or green to hold the fair near a village or town. The fair business commences early as buyers from different counties attend and they want to get their purchases home at the earliest conveyence. But buyers have good acomadation now compared with olden times when all horses and cattle travelled on foot. At present they can send them by rail or by lorry. There are usually a lot of bargains at a fair as the buyer tries to get his purchases as cheap as he can and the
