    Long ago fairs were not so plentiful as they are nowadays a fair is a congregation of men, horses, cattle, sheep, and bonhams. Some of the people are selling and some of buying. They have great noise when they are making the bargains. The seller first asks what he wants for the animal and the buyer bids so much and after a great struggle they both settle on one price. The field in which the fair is held is called the fair-green. There is a fair in Kilmihil almost every month.
