    districts. When the land was divided there were certain town lands in this parish named after forts, such as, Lissenair, Lissnalegane, and Tonlisseen. It is believed that the fairies live in the forts and sometimes there are proofs given that this belief is true. It happened that a man named Big Garret lived with his sister in Lissnalegane. They both loved each other but the sister died. A short time after her death her death her brother met her near the fort. She told him to be at the gate leading from the fort
