    Tuesday for wealth,
    Wednesday the best day of all
    Thursday for losses,
    Friday for crosses,
    And Saturday no day at all".
    One magpie - bad luck
    Two magpies - good luck.
    Five magpies - marriage.
    To meet a red-haired woman in the morning is a sign of bad luck
    If feet are washed at night, and the water is left inside, a bit of coal should be put in it or -
    Spit on water three times and say:-
    "All my bad luck go with you."
    Magpies
    One for sorrow
    Two for a birth
    Three for a weeding
    Four for a birth.
    Five for a christening
