    Already we have dealt with birds and the weather and again repeat it in short form:-
    Wjem swallows fly low rain may be expected, when flying high the weather shall be fine.
    When the seagull comes inland and follows the ploughman picking up worms, seeds etc it is a sign the winter is to be a hard one.
    Whent he crows fly high stormy weather may be expected. When the home birds like the thrush and blackbird rub trees early of their berried it is a sign also of bad weather to come. When the wold geese are seen flying past here in the direction of the Shannon lakes the weather is usually wide, wet and stormy.
