    There'll be neither hay nor grain.
    Ní théigheann stoirm thar Domnac nó briseadh thar Céadaoin.
    A wet May and a hot June
    Makes the farmer whistle a merry tune.
    A blue light in the fire shows rain is near.
    A dog drinking water shows rain is near.
    A blue flame in the fire shows that a storm is near.
    Soot falling down the chimmney shows rain is near.
