    Martin Jordan of Skough Kilkenny side of Lingaun river was born the night before the "Big Wind". He could not be taken to be christened for about 10 days because of the desolation caused by the storm.

    On Mr Walshe's farm Tinokilly there is a spot in the "Hollow Field" (Páircín na Lasgh (?) ) where the Danes are supposed to have made ale from the Fraoch. The hollow is a mess of very small stones of irregular sizes but shaped like loaf suggar. There is also a very pronounced
