    I just have penned down here,
    Leave aside your cares and trials
    of memorial we will raise,
    In memoery of the Mc Cormacks who
    were hanged in Nenagh jail.
    In the year of 58 my boys that were
    the troublesome times,
    When (rules) ruins caused by eviction were
    speading through our isle,
    The landlords and agents were
    rulers in our land,
    'Twas then that Ellis got shot down
    by some unknown hand,
    The news spread round Killahara that
    Trant's agent he was shot,
    The police they were informed and
    assembled on the spot
    They searched every field and
    garden every lane and every shed,
