    There are many old ruins in the school district.

    There are many old ruins in the school district.
    In the townland of Carrigatoher Harding there is an old Castle. It was built by the Butlers, early in the thirteenth century. It was a link between Nenagh castle and Abingdon in Limerick.
    It its last stages it was inhabited by a Mr. White, The Castle fell in the year 1790 and there is only it's ruins to be seen now.
