There was a mass path from the Railway Station to Hermitage.

There was a Mass Path from the Railway Station to Hermitage. Mass was celebrated by St. Patrick on the rock in Hermitage. People used come through the Mass Path and over from Clare to hear Mass. When they were building the church in Clare they took half the rock in Hermitage and put it in the Church in Clare. One of the Priests name was Father Lane, he is dead now and buried in Clonlara. The Rock was put on the Alter and now there is only half the rock in Hermitage.
