- The following story was told by Mr Michael Dwyer, Farmer, Croughafoil, Doon, Co. Limerick.
Some years ago there was a treasure found in land owned by Mr Ned Hayes. It was found in a field near the river. There was a rick of hay in the field and they never clean out the butt of the hay. It was left there for a couple of years and when one day the servant boy was throwing it out, he lifted up a big flat stone and under it he found a pot of gold.- Informant
