  2. One night at about half past eleven as my great grandfather was out in the garden setting potatoes he heard a bell ringing and on looking around saw nothing, but heard a voice saying "Stop" "Stop" "or you will regret it afterwards". But he did not pay any heed to these words of warning.
    After a few minutes he was asleep and a voice told him to do what he was told in future. When he woke up his eyes were blind and he was fooling around the garden for about an hour. When he regained his sight
