    got tired. When she got up there was no sign of the milk on the grass as all the milk had gone down through the ground. Then she said "Blast you", you will never run dry, you will keep me here all night. Immediately the cow ran away and was never seen in Ballinanima again.

  2. This story relates to an incident which took place in the old Catholic Church which stood where the present Girl's National School of Kilfinane stands now. There was a great tyrant by the name of Oliver who resided at Castle Oliver Ballyorgan this Tyrant was not happy unless he was persecuting the Catholic population of the parishes in the surrounding country which lay under his tyrannical rule. One of his many sacriligious practices was to stack the tithe corn which the farmers had to give him each year as Protestant tithe in the Catholic Church and yard, this was going on for years. The parish priests were always protesting against it but to no avail. The people were often not even able to hear Mass on Sunday's as the church was
