    There is another tale told about Bill Linane, which happened while he was working for some farmer.
    One day when he came to his dinner, he saw a small hard piece of bacon on a plate before him.
    He said to the woman, "This bacon is very hard, and salty".
    "Oh". said the woman, that is fine bacon, it is my own curing".
    Bill said no more, but finished his dinner.
    As he was leaving the house, he saw a horse collar, hanging up on the chimney, and looking at it, said to the woman,
    "I suppose that is some of your own curing too Mam?"
