  1. St. Bridget's Well.
I live in Courtmatrix and St. Bridget's well is not very far away from me. The field in which it is situated belongs to Miss. Condon in the division of Ballyallinan.
It is a large shallow well about fourteen feet in diameter and about three feet in depth. In the centre of it are some rocks out of which many springs flow all the year round. Beside this well grows a large ash tree on which medals, rags and other relics are hung when people visit it. Rounds are still performed there.
