  1. In the parish of Ballingarry there are four wells. Two of those wells are connected with St. Patrick. One of them is well patronised by a procession which takes place every year after last Mass on St. Patrick's Day from Ballingarry. It is a distance of about three miles. Every year there is a procession formed outside the church and this procession proceeds to the holy well. During the procession all the children sing on the way to the well. At the well the Rosary is recited other songs are sung in honour of St. Patrick. The people partake of the water and return home.
