    gained a great victory.
    In another part of our district there is a famous well called "Tobar a Punch." It is from this well that the town is supplied with water, and it had a great name in former times for its curative properties.
    The absence of any deep glens or high mountains would be the cause of missing such beautiful names, such as Cnoc an Aifreann as it was in this place that Mass was offered inthe Penal Days.
    This name means therock of the Mass.
    While Mass was being celebrated in these places, scouts were posted on the hills around to warn of the approach of the English soldiers.
