  1. Long ago there lived a man and, he used be afraid of the fairies. He got married and he built a new house. When the house was built the man was not at home - he was at his cousin's house. His wife had to sleep in the house alone the first night and she was a very nervous woman. She stayed up for a bit of the night sewing. It was about twelve oclock when she went to bed and she wasn't rightly in bed when she heard the great noise outside the window. She jumped out of bed and gave a peep out the window and she saw a crowd of men and every one of them was riding a horse. The following day her husband came and his wife told him
