  1. There is a man in Abbeyfeale parish who had a wonderful experience when a young boy. He got a fit of sickness and every night the good people used to come round his bed. He knew his father and two other men who had been dead for some time. One of these was a red-haired man and the boy thought this red-haired man was trying to take him and that his father was for leaving him to help his mother. The people who used to be minding him at night were frightened to hear him talking to the people and they could see no one.
    One night he was taken out of the bed and taken to a field in Ballycomane. On one
