   Cahirmee horse fair is one great fair which is held once a year. Aonach a Dip is a very ancient fair held in Midleton in October. There is a special market for pigs held in Cork every Thursday.

   3. The local fairs held in this part of County Cork are in Midleton, Cloyne, and Watergrasshill. They are held in a special field adjoining the town. Buyers still transact business also at farm houses. There is a toll paid when entering the fair fields. The toll is paid to the town clerk, there
