    the butter is made by the glass on the side of the churn when it gets clear. Water is put into the churn during the process to regulate the temperature and to thin out the cream. When the butter is made the buttermilk is left run out of the churn and then the butter is washed a few times. The butter is lifted on to the butter table and the water is pressed out of it. Some of the butter is salted and some left fresh then it is weighed, mostly in pounds and made into shapes with two clappers. The butter-milk is used for baking and taken as a drink.
